Japanese Kutani saucer of twin-lobed shape decorated in the centre with two green glazed birds on a yellow and aubergine rock with touches of overglaze blue and rouge de fer, the central medallion surrounded by a wide border with a yellow clobbered scroll separated by two aubergine bordered panels enclosing a green leaf,aubergine flywhisk and buddhist knot, all in old Kutani palette, the base with black shop mark with green overglaze.
