Description part summary
A red Dehua censer of circular form with two small lion's head masks one on either side, the lip sharply everted, the sides bulging but contracting to the footrim, the base revealing the icing sugar-like body. The whole outside and one third 0f the interior is covered with rust coloured brown caused by complete suffusion of the rich iron oxide glaze.
