A circular hu-shaped stoneware vase, the mouth rather saucer-like and decorated on its exterior with a thickened circular ridge band, the very short neck decorated with two closely impressed bands, its two strap handles with herring-bone relief decoration and its bulbous body stamped with many basket-like decorative squares, all covered with a greyish-green iron oxide glaze of Yue type.
