An octagonal blue and white wine cup decorated on the exterior with female figures ('long Elizas') and peonies in censers in alternating panels between line borders with hatching round the rim both inside and out. There is a six character mark on the base giving the name of a production site in Japan that was famous for making blue and white Chinese style ceramics for export. 'Zou shun tei san pou zukuri'.
