A deep aubergine monochrome dish decorated with five-clawed imperial dragons chasing pearls amid clouds both in the centre and cavetto and reverse. The rim is slightly outturned. The base has a six-character underglaze blue mark of Kangxi within a double lined circle and the piece is of the period.
