A large rectangular bamboo wristrest of arched section with skin left in relief and carved in liuqing technique. The decoration is of a praying mantis on a flowering branch, the leaves are insect eaten. There is a short inscription in seal script with a seal of carver dating the piece to the ninth month of 1982 and giving the carver's name as Fan Muk Yen.
