Description
Description part summary
A brown/black glazed stoneware tea bowl on white Hebei type body. The base has a bi-disc foot with diagonally-parred outer edge typical of the type found on Samarra type Ding bowls of the 9th century (though the width of the bi-disc is here much smaller and more like the foot rims to be found in the Five Dynasties/early Northern Song period). The plain black glaze has a pleasant matt surface both on the interior and exterior. The exterior has some unevenness giving the appearance of a mountain chain.
