Description part summary
A rhinoceros horn cup showing a sage wearing a cloth cap in late Ming style seated on a rock beside a pine tree. The branches of the tree extend over the rim forming the handle and the tasselled gourd hanging to one side. The reverse has an inscription carved in relief. The horn is of honey coloured tone darkening towards the base, which has a square seal mark of Song Zhi.
