Description part summary
A small Beijing enamel incense stick holder with a pierced bronze cover with lotus scrolls carved in openwork. The foliated flanged rim of the shallow bowl of the censer is divided into twelve lobes each painted with a lotus blossom in pink enamel while the body of the bowl is decorated with lotus scrolls in pink and red enamels with green leaves all on a lemon-yellow enamel ground. The interior of the bowl is covered with blue enamel with a cylindrical incense stick holder in the centre. The edges of the censer are covered with thick gilding, the base white enamelled.
