A blue and white Rolwagen (sleeve vase) painted in vivid cobalt with a scene of servants waiting on a couple in a landscape, the lady holding up a flowering sprig, incised anhua scroll borders round the base and shoulders, the flared neck with a band of stiff sword-like leaves; the body with an inscription dating the piece to the autumn of 1637.
