A glazed pottery figure of an official of Khotanese type, standing on a plinth splashed with sancai buff, green and chestnut glaze, his hands clasped and concealed beneath a chestnut coloured muff, wearing a high necked jacket with wide pendant sleeves, the back swayed; all with typical sancai lead glazes of buff, chestnut-brown and green hue, the pixie hat with turned up ear flaps in chestnut-brown. The unglazed face with severe expression and traces of red pigment remaining on the lips and traces of black pigment depicting eyebrows and moustache.
