Description part summary

A pale aubergine polychrome flared bowl decorated on the interior near the rim with four floral sprays (?peony and roses) and a further small floral spray in the centre in two shades of green and yellow and several white flowers where the white of the glaze covered body is used for the white with no overglaze white enamel. The exterior is decorated in a similar palette but also with black glaze and eight butterflies amid lilies and floral sprays, probably peonies. The base has a square shop mark in underglaze blue. On the base is an underglaze blue shop mark with the character 'fu' (good luck) in a double square.
