A blue and white ko-sometsuke dish in the form of a reclining pony, the shallow rounded sides shaped as the body with an everted rim forming the ears and legs, the features and other details picked out in underglaze blue. The underside is supported on four shallow feet and there are areas dappled in blue, with the pony's head repeated in outline.
