Scholar's studio jade group, of slightly greyish celadon colour with brown suffusions consisting of a lotus leaf as a water container, the sides curled up, and one end pinched to form a pouring spout, at the other end a lotus bud, the petals well carved with edges turned back, the group joined by flower and leaf stems, a small duck on one side, a small frog and a snail under the leaf, all forming a rebus 'May you have an abundance of sons every year'.
