Description part summary
A globular blue and white water jar of squat form. There is decoration around the shoulder of a continuous band of peony scroll (the leaves rather windswept) contained within two lined borders above and below in pale iron grey underglaze. A band of false gadroons encircles the base, which is unglazed and reveals the putty-like body. The white glaze has a greenish hue.
