Description
Description part summary
A white-rimmed temmoku tea bowl with slightly everted rim, the narrow foot and base unglazed showing a close-grained blue-grey body, the interior and exterior with mirror-black glaze, the white-glazed rim slightly overlapping at the join showing extensive crackling and some earth discolouration. The colour of the body indicates its Cizhou origin. Similar contemporaneous bowls were more commonly made in Henan but the body material there has a buff colour.
