Description
Description part summary
A large gilt wood incense stick holder in the form of a deity, possibly Manjusri, riding a Buddhist lion. His robe is decorated with the bagua (trigram symbols). This piece is not an "incense stick holder." The Daoist deity's open hand once held a fly whisk, which is now lost. His crown and 'bagua' symbols on his robe indicate he is Daoist. (MDL)
