Description part summary
A square jade belt plaque, blackish grey in colour with slightly sloping sides. The reverse is pierced with two holes at each of the four corners for affixing to the belt. The front is carved in intaglio relief with a Sassanian drummer sitting with his drum on his knees. The drummer is seated on a mat and has a scarf around his shoulders.
