A painted Han pottery vase and cover imitating the shape of a bronze hu vase. The vase has a dark grey globular body, high ring foot and dome-shaped lid. Two monster masks (taotie) with rings and concave bands in pottery relief are applied on the shoulder. The neck and body are decorated with cloud patterns painted in red, white and indigo blue.
