A blue and white circular three legged slightly convex censer, covered, except on the interior, the rim and a patch on the base, with a soft duck white glaze colour, decorated with two peony sprays separated by two tadpole-like squiggles; with double line underglaze blue borders at rim and round the bottom.

A similar censer has been excavated from a Chenghua tomb. The excavated example was shown by a Chinese lecturer in Hong Kong which I attended in about 1990.
