Description part summary
A saucer dish with slightly everted rim covered by a waxy slightly bluish white glaze. The clay is of fine putty consistency and slightly grey. The rim has five nicks, the back is undecorated. The interior has cursive incising of flower and feathery leaf, the cavetto with carved reverse 'S' decoration.

The feathery reverse 'S' incised decoration in the cavetto is typical of the Yangjiang kilns of southern Guangdong with pieces of this type being found in early Philippine sites. This is a rare and early type.
