Description
Description part summary
A hollow bronze Ordos doe cast in the round standing on a baseline which consists of two parallel bars, one under the hooves on each side. The animal's distinctive conformation - the hind legs longer than the front legs - suggests the musk deer, which has inhabited Siberia and East Asia from antiquity. Mould marks bisect the body lengthwise.
