Description part summary

A blue and white saucer decorated on the front with a lady and maid servant on a garden terrace. The servant is presenting the lady with a vase containing blossom branches. There is a holey rock and plantain tree to one side in the central double-ringed medallion. The cavetto is undecorated and has a double-ringed rim. The reverse has four pairs of figures (ladies with maid servants) separated by holey rocks and tree groups (two) and rocks and flowers or vase groups (two) between double-ringed borders. The base has an underglaze blue six character kaishu mark of Jiajing in a double-ringed close fitting circle. The piece is of the period.
