Description part summary
A high-footed altar offering bowl with nearly flat everted mouth rim and widely splayed high foot. The grey stoneware body is covered with a white slip with green splashes in the glaze, covered by a transparent glaze stopping short of the base. A horizontal flange with wavy piecrust edge encircles the lower part of the bowl, the main section has moulded and applied Buddhist figures and swirling studs under the slip and glaze; it is of Cizhou type.
