A Jizhou blackware bowl tending to brown where the glaze is thin, the interior painted in gold with four six-petalled flower-shaped medallions surrounding good luck characters, the flowers surrounded by gold lines radiating from the small flat centre, the exterior with a plain black glaze extending two thirds of the way down. The base is knife-parred and unglazed, revealing the buff body.
