Description part summary
A straight sided basin shaped bronze tripod censer. The exterior has three shaped cartouches with Arabic Kufic script on ring-punched background. The inscription is from the Qur'an, Chapter 33, verse 56: 'Allah and His angels send blessings on the Prophet. Oh you who believe send blessings on Him and salute Him with respect'. The base has three taotie mask feet and a six-character 2-line horizontal Zhengde mark, the piece is of the period.
