Description part summary
A Yaozhou celadon circular bowl of metal shape with twelve exaggerated pleats from the rim down to the flat interior base. The pale whitish body is thinly potted and covered with an even, thin, pale yellowish celadon glaze with extensive bubbles in suspension. The footrim slopes from the flat base, showing oily brown patches under the glaze where it is thin.

A similar piece with less pronounced pleats found in Baixintun, Mongolia was exhibited in the Cultural Relics of the Northern Nomads Exhibition in 1983 in Japan. Another similar piece was found in a Liao tomb.
