Description part summary
A circular gourd-moulded bowl. The exterior has moulded decoration of stylised ribbon-threaded circles and a Buddhist emblem between key fret borders. The base has a 'Qianlong shang wan' (for the amuseument of Emperor Qianlong) mark in a double line bordered square. The interior has been coated with black lacquer and embellished with circular gold lacquer roundels, probably mons. The piece clearly shows that it was made using a reuseable mould.
