Description
Description part summary
A Northern celadon six lobed bowl. The exterior is plain and gently curves to the rim from a small foot. The interior is decorated in the small central medallion with sichel-shaped floral group surrounded by a band of three ducks amid waves under a broad upper band of continuous floral scroll. The lobes are accentuated by lines of slip down to the duck decorated band. The decoration is probably moulded with additional combed highlights. The bowl is covered all over by a crackled thick bubbly celadon glaze of slightly greyish sea green colour.
