Square shallow dish with cut-off slightly concave corners, the border edged in dark cafe au lait with an inner striped border of dark blue green and a double border surrounding the central medallion the outer one of aubergine between black lines and the inner one without any overglaze colour just the black line, the picture rendered in overglaze enamels with black outlines and vein details of a yellow-breasted green backed bird with wing in augergine and blue,the off white background with overglaze dots overall; the reverse with four formal overglaze flower sprays each consisting of a blue flower with yellow tendrils; the base with square overglaze mark in dark bluish green on top of black calligraphy and traces of three spurs.
