Description part summary
A red Ding covered bowl with unglazed footrim, showing the whitish buff, semi-translucent body. The rim is white and the inside is covered with a white crackled glaze. The knob on the cover is in the shape of a peach. The bowl and cover are covered on their exterior with a golden brown glaze of so-called persimmon red colour, the base showing in places the black from which, by suffusion letting in oxygen during the firing, the persimmon red glaze was derived. May only be Ding style - may actually come from another kiln site.
