A shallow circular bowl, the interior with a circular unglazed section round the centre for kiln staking, a feature characteristic of many Shanxi kilns. The interior and rim are covered by a white slip. The interior has two incised rows of petals carved through to the buff body of the piece in sgraffito style to accentuate the shape of the flecked and incised petals, the whole (other than the unglazed ring) covered by a transparent glaze of slightly greyish-green hue, the low flat foot rim is also unglazed.
