Each natural pebble has a poetic inscriptions on one side only in kaishu script written in Qianlong style which translated read as follows:-1) Chunhe Yuan ( 'Garden of peaceful Spring')2) ' The peaches of the mountain of the Immortals ( Suishan)are beautiful and everlasting; natural gems of jade have the same longevity' followed by ' recorded by Chunhe' the name of the garden being transfeerred to the owner; with seal Chunhe 3)'Unsophisticated (as a virtue) like a pebble from Khotan; embracing the moon, condensing the mist;having the longevity of the pine; with the brilliance of a new year flower' followed by the signature'written by the master of the Chunhe Yuan' with seal Chunhe; 4)' Outstanding jade , naturally produced; collected from the streams of Khotan; treasure of the waters and mountains; essence of ten thousand years of gathered beauty
