Description part summary

A wine/oil pot and cover, the pot of squat, flattened form with a small mouth 3.2cm in diameter with a slightly raised rim round the mouth of about 2.5cm in diameter decorated under the glaze with six large brown ferruginous spots. The spout is very short and rises almost vertically from the edge of the raised section. The small handle has three concave sections and its top is fixed to the body by a flap of clay. The glaze of slightly bluish white colour, the top of the handle and base of the spout also spotted, the glaze extending most of the way down the exterior to the base; the cover fired separately with a lug for tying a string. It has a spreading plug base and upturned edge. The glaze of the cover is more bluish than on the body.
