Description
Description part summary
A small jar of so-called rice measure shape (probably a tea caddy) with rolled lip above a vertical section about 2.5cm deep, the rest of the jar swelling out, angled in towards the base covered with a brown-black glaze with white phosphatic splashes, the lower quarter and base unglazed showing the light brown body; the glaze of Jizhou temmoku-type; the body material and typical Ganzhou shape, however, indicates that the Ganzhou kiln near the Jizhou kilns is the more likely provenance.
